The Inland Empire Alcoholics Anonymous Convention (IEAAC) has been in existence for over 30 years.
This Convention is one which emphasizes the concept of AA fellowship and service. It features speakers from around the country and even the world. It also includes Alanon participation, Young People in AA participation, and is open to those looking for a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
IEAAC is governed by the IEAAC By-Laws and a Board of Directors that consists of seven (7) Directors. The Directors are the most recent two (2) Convention Chairpersons, the current Convention Chairperson, and the current Convention Co-Chairperson. The remaining three (3) Directors consists of the current Secretary, the current Treasurer, and one member to be elected (Member-At-Large) by the Convention Committee each year.
The Convention is run by committee. The Convention Committee includes a Convention Chairperson, Convention Co-Chairperson, a Secretary, Treasurer, and no more than twenty (20) Committee Chairpersons. Each Committee Chairperson has responsibility for a specific area such as Registration, Graphics, Hotel Coordinator, and the like.
