The Inland Empire Alcoholics Anonymous Convention
is in its 30th year!
There are many AA Conventions held around the world. One of the most common misconceptions about these gatherings is that they are regular AA meetings. Conventions and conferences are special events, which require a substantial amount of funding.
This Convention is self-supporting. No group monies are used to pay for this event. The costs of this convention are met through Convention Registrations and Events. No baskets are passed. Attendance is voluntary, and as responsible AA members, ‘We pay our own way.’
The Convention By-Laws are used to provide a type of structure for regulating the Convention, the Board, and Convention Committees.They are generally concerned with the operation of the Convention, setting out the form, manner or procedures in which the Convention should be run.
The convention is held at The Doubletree, San Bernardino (formerly the Hilton Hotel).
